The DA
says the ANC’s western Cape leader Marius Fransman should immediately be
suspended amid a police investigation into chargers of alleged sexual assault
against him.
The
opposition party’s Liza Albrecht says if the ANC does not act against Fransman,
it could seem as if the ruling party approved of the alleged wrongdoing.
“Apparently the charger were laid against him
in north-west province last night, we feel that the desperate fight in South
Africa against sexual and domestic abuse is really undermined when a party
political leader faces criminal charges”
says Liza Albrecht.
