South African Revenue Service officials have raided illegal alcohol retailers in the Western Cape ahead of the festive season.
The officials raided and shut down several illegal distributors and confiscated thousands of litres of raw alcohol.
The official visited 15 premises, closed down five where they believed there is illegal production of alcohol products.
They also confiscated documents and other forms of information as needed to establish the links between these retailers.
