Relatives of convicted murder accuse Zola Tongo say they will be visiting him in the Malmesbury prison this weekend.
Tongo confessed to playing a role in the shooting and murder of British tourist Anni Dewani in Gugulethu last month.
His family says they want to know why he did what he did because they had no knowledge of his financial difficulties.
Tongo has been sentenced to an effective 18-years in jail after he pleaded guilty to charges of murder, kidnapping and robbery with aggravated circumstances in the Cape High Court earlier this week.
Three other men have also been arrested in connection with the incident, including Dewani’s husband, Shrien Dewani.
