Bandana Serial Rapist Sentenced to 27 life imprisonments

The Bandana Serial Rapist from Kanana in Northwest was sentenced to 27 life imprisonments for 27 counts of rape on Wednesday in the Pretoria High Court.
The accused was arrested onthe 6th April 2012 after being identified in Kanana,
through assistance of informers and DNA linkage. He was successfully linked
to14 dockets that dated back to as far as 2008 and 2012.

The 30 year old Serial rapist Mcedisi David
Malahle was sentenced to10 years imprisonment for each of 8 counts of
kidnapping and another 15 years for each of 16 counts of robbery, aggravating.

Brigadier Thulane Ngubane said he was
pleased with sentencing of the Bandana Serial rapist. He expressed that the
sentencing expressed a very serious and clear message and commitment from the
court to the public, that offences of violation, molestation and assault of any
kind towards women would not be tolerated by the laws of the land.
