Citizens urged to register to vote

The Presidency has urged all citizens to continue registering to vote.

Presidency Spokesperson Mac Maharaj said citizens can register to any Independent Electoral Commission Office across the country.

The final voter registration was this past weekend but many people still did not register to vote.

Maharaj said the voter registration will only close when the presidency has published the election date on the government gazette and for now since it has not been done this means citizens can still register.

He further said the date to publish the date has not been set yet and it might be announced at the end of February.
