Union said it is saddened and shocked by the death of the eight mineworkers at
Harmony Gold.
Cosatu Spokesperson Patrick Craven
said this tragedy must be a wake-up call to redouble efforts to reduce deaths
in mines as quickly as possible.
“All we can hope is that the whole
mining industry can do even more to put a stop to fatalities like this.” Craven
said
