Nine people arrested for Rhino poaching

Nine suspects have been arrested by
the Organised Crime Unit of the Hawks in Limpopo for
rhino poaching.
Five suspects were arrested in
Bela-Bela and another four were arrested
Zonderwater Farm in Lephalele. All the nine suspects are between the
ages of 20 and 45-years-old.
Captain Paul Ramaloko said the first
suspects were arrested yesterday at Bela-bela by the Hawks in Limpopo for
being in possession of rhino horns.
“A few hours’ later four suspected
rhino poachers were arrested at Lephalale a hunting rifle and live ammunition
and two horns were confiscated after the suspects shot two rhinos,
one was wounded.” Ramoloko added.
