Former Health Minister Manto Tshabalala-Msimang has died.
Professor Jeff Wing is quoted as saying Tshabalala-Msimang died in the Wits University Donald Gordon Medical Centre & Medi-Clinic intensive care unit in Johannesburg this afternoon.
Wing says she died from complications related to her first liver transplant.
Tshabalala-Msimang was recently hospitalised with a serious liver condition which is reportedly related to her liver transplant in 2007.
