1 440 people left homeless after a CT fire

Yesterday a fire gutted through Valhalla Park ’s eighth avenue.Theo
Layne of the Fire Rescue department says the fire burnt down 350 shacks and
left 1 440 people homeless.
Residents spent the night going through burnt remains of their homes.
According to Layne 20 people were injured of these victims nine were fire fighters and eleven were civilians. Six fire fighters were rushed to hospital and the fire was extinguished at around six yesterday afternoon, added Theo Layne.
One woman says she is grateful that she and her three children escaped unharmed.
