The National Sea Rescue Institute said on Sunday afternoon a boat with three people on-board capsized in the Ganube River Mouth.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the boat capsized and stranded on rocks, the three people on-board aged between 30 and 50-years-old are all from Germany.

Lambinon said on arrival on scene the lifeguards were able to assist all three people to get across the river, as they had been washed into the river mouth and up against rocks.

“They were checked out by paramedics but they were not injured and did not require further assistance.  The police and the South African Maritime Safety Authority are investigating incident” Lambinon added.
