34 year-old critically injured after accident on the R33, New Greytown

A woman believed to be 34 years of age was critically injured when the vehicle she was driving rolled multiple times on the R33 New Greytown Road between Pietermaritzburg and Albert Falls earlier today.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found bystanders and an off duty nurse attending to the woman who was lying on the grass on the side of the road.

Upon assessment by paramedics it was found that the woman had sustained multiple injuries and was in a critical condition.

She was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.

Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
