The National Union of Mineworkers Youth Structure calls for the President of South Africa honourable Jacob Zuma to declare free education in the country as resolved by the 2007 ANC Polokwane Conference.

Sabelo Mgotywa the NUM Youth Structure’s National Secretary said:

“The minster does not have the power to declare free education. The only person who can do that is President Jacob Zuma.

We are saying the ANC through Jacob Zuma must declare free education in South Africa.

With the current situation happening, if he can say something these challenges will be over and it will be history.

The only person that can talk to South Africans is the president, his silence has been too loud.

We’re asking him to come out loudly and tell South Africans when we’re getting free education.”
