Western Cape Education Department announces spring school holiday plans

Learners and teachers across the Western Cape will be celebrating the end of the third term and the start of the “spring” holidays tomorrow.

A number of programmes to ensure that learners have safe places to go during the holidays, the Western Cape Education Department has put together programmes. 

These programmes aim to keep the youth positively engaged, entertained and safeguarded.

There are various workshops and development programmes put in place for Grade 12 teachers and holiday programmes for Grade 12 pupils too.

In terms of safety during the period of the programmes, WCED’s Safe School directorate has arranged increased security at identified schools.
