Man shot dead in Pietermaritzburg

A man died last night after being shot in Church Street in Pietermaritzburg.

Emergency services arrived on scene and found the lying on the sidewalk.

Upon assessment it was found that he sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was in a critical condition.

Despite all efforts to save him, the man died.

Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
