Shadow Minister of transport, Manny de Freitas will hand over an affidavit relating to allegations that the ANC, as well as Prasa officials were the beneficiaries of a bribe in order for Swifambo Rail Leasing to secure the controversial Afro4000 Locomotive tender, at the Cape Town Police Station.

“In Popo Molefe’s affidavit he indicates that the ANC had benefitted through this deal.

As a result I’m now laying charges to investigate it further because you cannot have a situation where a political party benefits in this way.

It’s simply illegal.”
