The African Group says it is do or die at COP17 today #COP17

The soon to be former president of the African group Tosi Mpanu Mpanu says today is do or die. He says as the African group they want to leave Durban with results.

Mpanu Mpanu says they are strongly committed to the framework, the rules and the transparency of the Kyoto Protocol. He says they are working very hard and they would like to see the second term of Kyoto Protocol signed.

He also highlighted that they will still want to see the green climate fund coming into operation so it can assist developing countries for adaptation and mitigation.

Mpanu Mpanu was serving his last term this year as the presidency. He also announced that the next presidency is Swaziland that will be leading the African Group to Qatar next year. #COP17
