Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe says he is no coward – and retiring would be the act of a coward.
Speaking at the Zanu-PF annual conference, Mugabe said while the West kept the country under sanctions, he would stay to lead the party.
He said he was happy that God had given him more years than most in order to carry out his duty.
Mugabe also called for unity within the ruling party, saying they needed unity to win next year’s elections.
