Several countries that have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations finals are heading to South Africa to utilise World Cup facilities, ahead of the continent’s premier tournament next month.

Zambia, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea and Angola have shown a keen interest in setting up a training base here.

Both Zambia and Ghana are expected to play friendly matches against Bafana Bafana. The SA Football Association’s CEO Robin Petersen says this kind of national interest will go a long way in sustaining the World Cup legacy.
