Two of the ‘Waterkloof Four’ members have been released from the Zondwater prison today.
In 2008, Gert van Schalkwyk and Reinach Tiedt and two others were sentenced to 12-years imprisonment for killing a homeless man and assaulting another.
Van Schalkwyk and Tiedt are to report to the community corrections centre where they will report to in terms of their parole conditions.
A statement was made shortly before an urgent application was brought forward to the North Gauteng High Court. The statement was to force the department to put up with with the decision of the Regional Court.
