President Jacob Zuma is hesitating to comment on concerns about his appointment of Willem heath as head of the Special Investigations Unit.
The National Association of Democratic Lawyers, or Nadel, expressed their concern about Heath’s comment to a newspaper that former President Thabo Meki initiated the rape and corruption charges against Zuma.
Nadel says such comments about a former head of state, by the head of the SIU, is unacceptable. Spokesperson for the Presidency Mac Maharaj says Zuma will meet with Justice Minister Jeff Radebe about the matter and will comment at a later stage.
