A new data capturing technology that will improve ambulance response time will be introduced in the Western Cape in November.

The new system at emergency medical services call centers would get ambulances to incidents in the shortest time possible.

Dimension Data will run the system for the next four years.

“The main aim of the system is to ensure that ambulances get to where they are needed faster” EMS manager Shaheem de Vries added.

De Vries said that the use of technology and new available technologies be used to get efficiency in emergency services.
