The National Assembly today passed the controversial Protection of Information Bill.

President Jacob Zuma is now expected to sign so that it can become legislation.

Activist group the Right2Know campaign said the bill in its current form is betraying the country's democracy.

Right2Know’s Murry Hunter said they will now be heading to the Constitutional Court.

Hunter said this bill remains the bill that they would regard as unconstitutional.

He added that although the bill has been improved in the past but they will continue to oppose it.
