Minister of Basic
Education Angie Motshekga has breached a court order issued in August last
year, reviewed in this year, instructing her to fill teaching and support posts
in the Eastern Cape .
Schools in Limpopo are still reporting that they
have not received their full complement of textbooks in the second quarter of
the school year.
DA MEC of Basic
Education Annette Lovermore said it is simply unacceptable that a Minister is
responsible for the apex priority in this country.
Lovermore added
that it is a very sad day when Minister Motshekga and her team has to be taken
to court to be compelled to deliver desks, textbooks and to deliver teachers to
school.
