Western Cape MEC of Health Theuns Botha on Monday launched the Tygerberg Hospital Redevelopment Project.
MEC Botha said this development
forms part of Health’s strategy to improve health infrastructure for the people
of the province.
Two new district hospitals have been commissioned in the Metro in the past two years.
Ministerial Spokesperson Helene
Rossouw said the capital budget indication for this is more that R5 billion and
the feasibility study will be completed later this year.
“An international company has been
appointed as the transaction adviser for the this project,” Rossouw added.
