Metro sniffer dogs dig deep for drugs

15 people have been arrested over the weekend in Senator Park for being in possession of drugs.

Metro Police Chief Rob Young says 36 units of rocks, dagga cigarettes 19 heroine and 1 Tik unit were found on one suspect.

“This was during a joint operation with the South African Police Services, the city’s Law Enforcement Department and the Immigration Unit of Internal Affairs.

“The operation brought to a standstill as the convoy of 60 officers embarked on Senator Park, in Keerboom Street and Long Street in central Cape Town," said Metro Police Chief Robert Young.

Young added that During the operation, four search warrants were executed at Senator Park and three suspects were arrested for possession of narcotics.
