The Democratic Alliance on Tuesday said
power utility Eskom is stalling in providing contractual agreements between
itself and its contractors at the Medupi Power Station.
The DA said it has been two months since it
requested the contracts from Eskom but nothing has happened.
DA Research and Communications Officer
Michael Mpofu said the delay in the delivery of these contracts is
questionable.
Mpofu said the DA believes if Eskom has
nothing to hide and if the relationship between the contractors and Eskom is
one that is being managed well according to processes then they should be in a
position to provide the documents.
“We are going to approach Minister Malusi
Gigaba asking him to make sure that Eskom commits to a deadline thereby
providing us with the necessary documentation that we requested” Mpofu added.
