The Western Cape Department of Health said electricity supply to the Du Noon Community Day Centre will be impacted due to Eskom’s planned electricity maintenance.

The department said certain service delivery aspects will be adapted as the facility is not supported by generator power.

Departmental Spokesperson Siyabonga Mahomba said there will be no phone line, emails, no refrigeration and difficulty in lining and ventilation and air conditioning.

“As an alternative, our emergency medical services components will be directing serious cases directly to new Sormeset Hospital during this period” Mahomba added.
