The National Sea Rescue Institute in Table Bay today evacuated a 44-year-old Filipino male off a ship after he was suspected to have dislocated his right arm.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said it is believed that during heavy sea conditions with the ship rolling in heavy sea swells the patient had fallen onboard the ship and dislocated his arm.

Lambinon said the man was rescued and airlifted to hospital in a stable condition.

He further commended the emergency officials for their sterling in the bad weather conditions in the province.
