On September 20, he allegedly drove into Khwezi and Magdalene Jantjies in the West Coast town after accusing the child of stealing an orange. The boy suffered serious injuries from the incident.

Stoman will remain in custody following his unsuccessful bail application. The case has been postponed to November 4 for further investigation.

Khwezi suffered fractures in both legs and is currently recovering at home after surgery at Paarl Hospital.
