A 42-year-old man was shot and killed in Somerset West on Monday morning. It is understood the victim was sitting in his vehicle when the incident occurred.

hard at work pursuing leads in a bid to apprehend the suspects who are
responsible for the death of 42 year old man on Monday 07 October 2024. Reports
suggested that three unknown armed men opened fire at around 07:00 on the
victim, a Sotho Foreign National in Lourensford Street in Somerset West. The
victim did not survive the onslaught on his life and was declared deceased on
the scene by the medical personnel,’’ said Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi,
Western cape police spokesperson.
The motive for this attack is unknown and no arrests has
been made as yet. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to
