A lift technician has been crushed to death while repairing an elevator in a Green Point office building in Cape Town.
ER24 spokesperson Tristan Wadeley says the elevator was placed halfway between two floors when the man began repairing it.
He was getting out of the elevator when it began moving and he was caught between the lift and the wall of the building.
His colleagues who witnessed the incident were taken to Milnerton Medi-Clinic for trauma counselling.
