Sun International workers are set to intensify their current strike. The South African Commercial, Catering and Allied Workers Union says the company has frustrated the workers’ attempts by refusing to negotiate and not offering anything new in negotiations.
The union says it will intensify the strike tomorrow with a specific focus on Sun City.
It says Sun International has doubled its profits with South Africa growing as a top international destination.
Yet, the workers are not reaping the full benefits. A wage increase of 13 percent is at the top of the list of worker’s demands.
