DA leader Helen Zille says the government makes all the right noises about the rights of women and children, but little is being done for them.
Zille was speaking at a mass march in solidarity with women and children in Actonville on the East Rand today.
She said the establishment of the new Ministry of Women, Children and People with Disabilities was warmly welcomed by the DA, but as yet little progress has been made.
Zille said it would be an insult to every vulnerable woman and child if the ministry did not have a material impact on their lives.
