President Jacob Zuma has appealed for respect, unity and discipline among members of the Tripartite Alliance.
He spoke at the South African Communist Party congress in Polokwane, Limpopo.
This follows the earlier booing of ANC Youth League president Julius Malema and senior ANC members Tony Yengeni and Billy Masetlha at the congress.
Zuma urged leaders of the alliance partners to guide members. He says the alliance should not be portrayed as being in intensive care when it is in fact strong and healthy.
