Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe and Health Minister Aaron Motsolaedi took part in panel discussions on HIV/Aids at the Pretoria Showgrounds on World Aids Day today.

President Jacob Zuma addressed thousands of people who gathered at the Showgrounds this afternoon.

He gave some detail of how the country’s plan of attack against the HIV/Aids scourge would change, including making it easier for pregnant women and TB suffers to receive treatment.

It has been reported that during a panel discussion, Motlanthe told delegates the key to dealing with the scourge of HIV and Aids was "prevention, prevention and prevention".

Motlanthe and Motsoaledi listened to input from various role players on how to manage the pandemic.
