The SACP in Gauteng says it is deeply shocked by the South Gauteng High Court ruling yesterday.

The court ruled in favour of the Johannesburg Housing Company to evict the Mdluli family in their house.

The court decision evicts the Mdluli family from the Newtown Housing Village in Fordsburg, west of Johannesburg.

The Mdluli family consists of an elderly woman and a paralysed child.

SACP Provincial Spokesperson Mamabolo Jacob said what is most disturbing is the fact that this decision is taken during the 16 days of activism for no violence against women and children.
