WCED to outline progress made in achieving the strategic objectives

The Western Cape Education Department will today be outlining progress made in achieving the strategic objectives set by the provincial government for education. 

The plan which was released in 2009 looks at ten key priority areas that aim to improve chances of all learners in the province through quality education. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Bronagh Casey said MEC Grant today will be looking at key priority areas and provide a summary of what the department has achieved so far.

Casey added that since it is the last schooling day on Wednesday the MEC will also reflect on the year past and also discuss preparations for the year ahead.
