Western Cape police arrested a 26-year-old man in the early hours of Monday, after he was found with drugs worth half a million rand.
The police’s Wesley Twigg said that members of Operation Restore searched a premises in Block B, Zone 2, in Langa after receiving a tip-off about possible illicit activities at the premises.
‘’The members responded to the information and found 1598
mandrax tablets, 47 units cocaine, 1902 ecstacy tablets and loose dagga with an
estimated street value of R500 000 during a search. A 26 year old male was
arrested and detained on charges of dealing and possession of drugs,’’ said Sergeant
Wesley Twigg.
Once charged the suspect will make a court appearance in
the Bishop Lavis Magistrates court.
