The two siblings who went missing last Friday at the Laingsburg petrol station were reunited with their mother.
This is after they were found safe at a home in Gugulethu of the relative of the taxi owner.
Police say 6 year old Okuhle and her 3 year old brother Mabaxole Maqhubela boarded another taxi back to the Eastern Cape.
“The driver then alerted the owner who arranged for the children to be brought back to Cape Town where they are due to meet their mother in Phillippi,” said police spokesperson Inspector Lindikhaya Mkhontwana.
An assessment conducted by the social workers revealed that they were safe and they were shortly reunited with their mother.
Police suspect no foul play on the case.
