A young swimmer has died after being killed by a shark at Port St Johns in the Eastern Cape.
The NSRI’s Craig Lambinon says the 25-year-old was amongst several other swimmers in waist deep water when the shark attacked him repeatedly.

Lamninon added that other swimmers managed to drag him out of the water and rescuers, including a doctor who happened to be at the beach, tried to stop the bleeding.

The victim was declared dead after being rushed to a local clinic.
