First Council meeting for 2012

Today marked the first council meeting of 2012 for the City of Cape Town.

Some of the issues on the agenda were applications for public passages, proposed lease of road reserves, proposed alienation of public open space and the audited annual financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2011.

Cape Town Mayor Patricia De Lille conducted a speech which highlighted some keys issues the City faces.

She said that during the festive season all law enforcement took a firm stance against crime and drunk and negligent driving.

De Lille thanked each and every person for helping to make Cape Town a wonderful city.
