The Western Cape Department of Health said on Tuesday that the supply of Measles and Hepatitis B vaccines is back on track.
This is after the province experienced
shortage of these two vaccines because in July Hepatitis B vaccine failed
quality assurance testing at the National Control Laboratory, which left the
supplier with no back up supply.
The shortage was experienced throughout the
country.
Ministerial Spokesperson Helene Rossouw
said the province is distributing the stock among the different facilities.
“The province should not have a problem
with stock by Thursday as the stock will be delivered by then” Rossouw added.
