Reports alleged Eastern Cape government spokesman Sizwe Kupelo has denied that some employees at Premier Phumulo Masualle’s office were appointed without processes being followed.

He was responding to concerns raised by legislature and union members in a report published in yesterday’s newspapers.

Both the Bhisho Legislature’s portfolio committee on the office of the premier and Nehawu at Masualle’s office have raised concerns that employees were being moved around senior positions without processes being followed.

They also complained about “double parking” in which senior personnel were hired as specialists in both human resources and finance units, while there were general managers responsible for those two units.
