The Hawks say more arrests are pending in connection with the murder of Democratic Alliance councillor Hannes Baatjies.
A suspect was arrested on Friday and is expected to appear in the Post-mas-burg Magistrate’s Court today.
Baatjies was reportedly tempted to what he believed was a business meeting last week, where he was then shot and killed.
Baatjies, 49, was found dead near his car in Groenwater in the Northern Cape, just hours before he was due to be confirmed in as a DA councillor.
A 29-year-old suspect who was arrested on Friday, and faces murder and attempted murder charges.
