Motshekga says ANC not to be implicated in the actions of one person

National Executive Committee member of the African National Congress  and the party's former Chief Whip Mathole Motshekga has stressed that the entire ANC cannot be implicated in the actions of a few individuals.

His statement follows the release of the Public Protector's 'State of Capture' report late last week.

Those implicated include President Zuma and Ministers Mosebenzi Zwane and Des van Rooyen in the wealthy Gupta family's alleged state capture.

Motshekga's statement contradicts the view of ANC Chief Whip Jackson Mthembu that the NEC must take collective responsibility.
