The Cape Peninsula University
of Technology has postponed exams. Assessments were supposed to commence today
at several locations off-campus.
But there have been threats by
anti-fees protesters to disrupt exams.
The institution’s Lauren
Kansley says, “During a late-night meeting between university stakeholders,
which includes the Fees Must Fall activists, the SRC and their union
representatives, the decision to postpone their exams by one week was taken. This
is since the majority of CPUT students were supposed to write their exams
today.”
