Six month old baby found in Khayelitsha

The six month old baby who was left in a taxi on Good Friday has been found. 

The baby known as Ngcwele Sipayile was left in a taxi at Philippi East taxi rank.

Police Spokesperson FC van Wyk said the baby was found on Tuesday and is being looked after in a safe house. 

Van Wyk said the child was found in Khayelitsha, Town Two.

He added that a case of negligent will be investigated against the 29 year-old mother.

Western Cape Social Development MEC Albert Fritz said his department would in prosecution of the mother if found guilty.
