In a plea bargain arrangement in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court, two of the accused in the Chanelle Henning murder case have pleaded guilty to killing the Faerie Glen mother.
Suspended police detective Gerhardus du Plessis and co-accused Willem Pieterse were this morning sentenced to 18 years in jail.
Du Plessis confessed to pulling the trigger.
The pair implicated another two suspects, Ambrose Monye and André Gouws, as the men who ordered last month’s hit.
The reason for the murder is not yet clear.
