The hail storms that hit the Oudtshoorn region on Monday left bridges fallen roofs blown off and seven sects destroyed.
The Oudtshoorn Municipality estimates the repair charges to amount to R100,000 and above.
The Municipality spokesperson Ntobeko Mangqwengqwe says although there were no injuries but the damage is going to be felt by the people .They lost most of their belongings .
Amongst the buildings destroyed there is a community crèche as well .Ntobeko said this is a severe blow to the Oudtshoorn Municipality.
