The city warns of heavy swells

Cape Town’s disaster risk management is appealing to all bathers to be cautious when visiting the coastline.

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of very rough seas for the Western and Eastern Cape.

Disaster management’s Wilfred Solomons-Johannes says heavy swells with wave heights exceeding four metres is expected between Cape Columbine and Port Elizabeth today.

He said disaster response teams are on high alert.
